We can RE-INDUSTRIALISE Australia and have REAL jobs for our Youth
If tiny countries like Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Spain Israel etc. can have industry THEN SO CAN AUSTRALIA. We only need politicians with more vision and less political treachery. We have done it before - in time of war. We can do it again and we must - if our children are to have a future in the 21 st century.
The following pages from "WHAT AUSTRALIA MUST DO to We can use the potential soldiers to recreate our industry in
Survive the Depression" by Citizens Electoral Council of Australia, PO half the time taken when, in war, all our output went up in flames,
Box 376, Coburg Vic 3058 - ($20 posted) provides a blueprint showing noise, destruction, injury and death. The only thing stopping us is the
how to generate a self sufficient industrial nation in time of war. ALP/Dom/Lib/Nat/Greon machine in Canberra.
To fix the unemployment we need to look at what successful nations do well that we don't and we must look at what we do badly that they don't They Protect Their Industries
They impose tariffs and enforce quotas. They use the income from import duty to subsidise their local industry to make local product prices more competitive. We Expose Oar Industries
Under the excuse of National Competition Policy (that is supposed to be good for us) we make our industies pay Australian award wages, allow Asian firms, using slave and bowi-of-rice labour, FREE ACCESS to all markets and expect Australian manufacturers to suvive. We Dfeadvantage Local Finns
Australian firms and farms paying $1.25 a litre for fuel are expected to
compete with countries like Indonesia where diesel is 11-14 cents/litre. The $1.25 (in Australia) is 90% fuel tax and OPEC extortion. Progressive Nations Don't Tax
They offer tax breaks (up to ten years free), free land, cheap labour, build houses for technical experts, and towns for workers. We tax twice - once on the company and again on personal income. People with initiative leave Australia. Our children suffer. Myths
It is simply not true that Australia doesn't have a big enough polulation to sustain a manufacturing industry. The whole world is the market place. Find somewhere where Sony isn't sold. We are fed lies. Facts
It is not smart to sell our coal and iron ore to Japan and buy our steel back
after paying the freight both ways, providing jobs, wages, taxes and profit in Japan. Let us keep it here. Ethanol Fuel or Get Smart
Why sell alochol for cars at $t per/litre, when liquor sells for $40 per/litre at 33% by volume ($120 per/litre). That is what the Japanese did to ease their financial burden of drinking scotch. They developed Suntoro whiskey and it is better than most scotches. We Mast Back Engineer
If we wrote to 100 mechanics and said, "What is wrong with the Kato earth mover?" and, "How would you redesign it better?" The resulting design would be a winner. We can do mis with cars, motorbikes, Bobcats, cranes, dozers, graders, 4 wheel drives, plant and machinery. We Mast Attact Expertise
We have unlimited pine
plantations that we harvest, and sell for a pittance, so Japan can get rich using our woodchips Let us ask one papermill from USA to relocate here. Then we would be self sufficient and paper exporters. We can use this ploy to regenerate the TV/ radio/white goods/cars/farm machinery/ computer/optical/arms industries destroyed by the Level Playing Field -National Competition Policy - Free Trade Ageement treason of the ALP/Dem/Lib/ Nat/Green machine. SelfSafffciency
In time of war, recession, or trade embargo self sufficiency is essential. Our food processing is so depleted that every major city would be starving in fourteen days if supplies from Asia stopped. Up to YOU
Only you can push to have our wool turned into carpet/cloth/clothes here providing jobs and money for our youth.
Knowledge to a process of piling up facts, wisdom lies In their simplification. Martin Fischer
